What qualities do you look for in an instructor and how do you embody them in your teaching? I want an instructor who empowers and inspires me. Turn on your signal people, and get out of my way! What makes you crazy? This could be a long list, hahaha.
But I have met so many cool people and had so many new experiences in the last three years, much of it a direct result of being a yes at fby. Don’t get me wrong, the workout is amazing. I came to fby for the yoga, but I stayed for the community and the connection to all these awesome humans. BUT my favorite all time singer/songwriter is the famous Patrick Henry…especially when he is singing to me on our back deck. I love all music and my playlists range from 80s rock to country to pop to classical. Top 3 fave bands/musicians & all time fave song? Sorry, can’t choose. And that awesome yoga breath…it calms me and makes me a nicer person. Opening my heart and showing my true self allows me to really connect to people. How has yoga made a difference in your life? Yoga has taught me, and continues to teach me, the importance of being truly present for myself and those around me.
Developed a serious yoga obsession when FBY opened and I haven’t looked back since. Taught elementary school for 20 years before moving over to Elon University a few years ago. Give us the 5 second scoop on you! Born and raised right here in Burlington.
